Rate of intensification: a comparison with the past


The graph below shows the evolution of global mean temperature from the last glacial maximum (lowest temperature of the last Ice Age) to the present day. As the zero point on the temperature axis corresponds to the reference period 1850-1900, the vertical axis actually shows the deviation (delta) of temperature from this reference.
